This is a very informative and great for collectors book “Avant-Garde stopped on the Runâ€. The book-album is about heroic history of the Russian avant-guard, its masters and achievements. This is about the tragic fate of many of Russian avant-guard artists and the forced ending of their artistic carriers. Many works included in the book have the inscription “unknown Soviet artist†because their names were struck from public memory and they either died in the camps or voluntarily disappeared from the public view. The book was published in Leningrad, USSR in 1989 by Aurora Publisher. Hard cover, a lot of beautiful illustrations. The book is written in Russian. The book is lightly used but it is in very good condition. It is very nice book made out of heavy fine paper; dust jacket, cloth binding. Size: 13.25 x 10 inches.
