This is a Vintage Rare Kasli Cast-Iron Sculpture of Young Soccer Player. This figurine was cast out of Dutch soot iron using precision technique. It was made in the end of 1960s at the Kasli Architectural and Artistic Casting Plant located in Chelyabinsk Region in USSR. The figurine was designed by Soviet artist Naroditsky. The figurine has original stamp of Kasli plant (see picture). Size: 7.25Hx3''diameter; weight 1.18lb. Kasli cast-iron sculptures were produced in Kasli (Southern Ural), from the mid-19th century. Kasli castings are characterized by skilled craftsmanship visible in exceptional clarity and smoothness of the metal surface. High-quality iron was smelted on a wood fire and cast in consistently fine sand. The figurine is in excellent vintage condition.
