This belt has buckle issued between 1946 and 1956. We determined the age of the buckle because its Coat of Arms shows 16 USSR Republics. Between 1946 and 1956 USSR had 16 republics. After 1956 Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic became an Autonomous Region and Soviet Union became 15 republic country. Soviet Army used older buckles with 1970s belts because of Gradual Uniform Changes*. The Soviet USSR general belt is extremely rare and very nice for collection. Pictures are part of description. You will get the same belt you see on the pictures. Ship from Texas in 2 business days. *(from Google information). Gradual Uniform Changes:Soviet uniform regulations saw changes over time, but these weren't always drastic or comprehensive. For instance, some post-war uniform changes, like the adoption of new parade uniforms for officers and generals, were introduced in phases over several years. It's plausible that while belts themselves might have been replaced or upgraded, the buckle designs remained consistent for some time, leading to the use of older patterns with newer belts.
