The creamer is HAND PAINTED and gold plated by talented Russian artists, so it can slightly differ in colors as they are done by different painters. The original Lomonosov factory logo is on the bottom of this creamer. Size is 3.25†high and 3†diameter. The Lomonosov Imperial Porcelain Factory was founded in St. Petersburg in 1744 under the decree of Peter the Great's daughter Empress Elizabeth. It was the first porcelain company in Russia and the third in all of Europe. This is where the talented Russian scientist Dmitry Vinogradov (1720-1758) discovered the secret of making ''white gold.'' He was the first in the history of ceramics who made a scientific description of porcelain production. The Russian porcelain by Vinogradov had qualities similar to Meissen porcelain.
