This vintage nice hinged box is completely handmade of birch in 1990s in USSR/ Belarus at Belarusian Arts and Crafts Factory located in Zhlobin City. After box is done person who prepares box for artist paints it in brown color stain. Artist hand carves this box after painting. Because birch is light result after carving is wonderful. Look what kind of skill is involved in this work!!!! If you look carefully you will see that each carved detail is slightly different because it was cut by hand not by machinery; from the other hand the carved details are very similar because of high skill of the artists. Can you imagine how much time was spent to make this box? The interior of the box is beautifully lined with different color fabric. You can use it for jewelry or any other purposes. These boxes are wonderful gifts for any occasion. Also, they are very collectible because they were made in USSR. Size 7 x 7 x 3h'', lined with fabric. Excellent vintage condition; pictures are part of description. Because the boxes are handmade, design can be slightly different but it is very close to the pictures.
