This is an extremely rare huge , difficult to find album of The Early Russian Paintings in the Hermitage Collection, icons, book miniatures and ornaments of XIII-early XVII Centuries. The book was published in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1992 by Iskusstvo Publishers. Hard cover, dust jacket, cloth binding; 486 pages with 440 of wonderful illustrations with captions. The book is written in Russian with summary and list of illustrations in English. This monumental volume was written by A. S. Kostsova. It is very nice album, the illustrations are made out of very heavy fine paper. The book is in excellent condition, but the dust jacket shows some signs of wearing (see pictures). Size: 13 x 9.75 inches. Very nice and heavy album over 5 Lb. The album has a lot of information about Russian antique paintings. The album is a must have for any serious collectors.
