This is a VINTAGE 1968 very rare album of The Saint Trinity and Saint Sergiy Lavra (Monastery). The book was published in Moscow USSR in 1968 by Iskusstvo Publishers. Hard cover, dust jacket, cloth binding; 187 pages plus 224 wonderful illustrations with captions. The book is written in Russian and has summary and list of illustration in French. This very monumental book has detailed information about Architecture of the monastery, its ancient paintings, icons and embroidery collected for the centuries in the Monastery. It is very nice thick album, the illustrations are made on very heavy fine paper. The book is in excellent condition, but the dust jacket shows some signs of wearing (see pictures). Size: 11 x 8.5 inches. Very nice and heavy album. The album was given as birthday gift to history professor by her students and signed by all of them on the first page.
