Edge: two inscriptions ''ONE RUBLES'' separated by two dots. Obverse description: Above the coat of arms of the USSR with 15 turns of tape, to the left of it the letters ''SS'', to the right ''SR'', below the designation of the denomination of the coin the number ''1'' and below the word ''RUBLE'', at the bottom of the edging the year of issue of the coin ''1984''. Reverse description: In the center is the image of A.S. Pushkin and to the right of him in two lines of the date ''1799'' and ''1837'', in the lower part there is a semicircular inscription ''A. S. PUSHKIN ''. The first coin of the USSR, dedicated to great poets and writers, was the jubilee ruble dedicated to “our everything†A.S. Pushkin.
