Soviet USSR Authentic Army Major field tunic “Gymnasterkaâ€. It is Vintage USSR Post WW2 Model 1943 Authentic winter officer gymnasterka tunic. The tunic is made out of heavy wool at Soviet military factory at the end of 1940th. The tunic has original old plastic buttons and major shoulder boards with subdued insignia. The shoulder boards are connected to the tunic by strings. Also it has shoulder pads (see picture). The officer who was wearing this tunic was a huge man. Chest size is 52 inches (Russian size 66), sleeve 25 inches, neck 18 inches, length 32.5 inches, shoulders 18 inches. The tunic shirt was used by Soviet Major but it is in excellent condition considering its age; it has several small imperfections on fabric due to wearing. Original Soviet USSR military M43 1940th shirts are extremely rare. Great to wear and for collection. To determine chest size of the tunic we always measure distance between 2 armpits and multiply by two. Please let us know if you need additional pictures.
