This vintage USSR 8”diameter pressed hardboard plate is straw inlaid by Ukrainian artist in 1980s. The Ukrainian artist created this beautiful art using pieces of regular straw application on brown background. Some of the straw pieces painted in orange color. Look what kind of skill is involved in this work!!!! Each piece of straw is hand cut and glued on the plate by the Ukrainian artist. Can you imagine how much time was spent to make this plaque? This wall decoration is wonderful gifts for any occasion. The beautiful plate comes in original Souvenir Factory box located in Kiev. The box has original tag with name of the factory and date of production. Size is 8” diameter. Because the plates are handmade they might be slightly different. The plate has small thread on the back to hang the plate on the wall. Plate is in excellent condition.
