This is antique XIX Century Russian icon of Jesus Almighty with Angels and Saints. This icon was hand painted egg tempera on wooden board. The icon is kovcheg in very good antique condition; the pictures are the part of the description (see pictures). The icon has one parallel wedge on the back to prevent wood from being warped. The wedge is in good condition. The icon has a very interesting subject, it represents Jesus Almighty on the throne, surrounded by two angels, Blessed Virgin Mary on his left and John the Baptist on his right. On the top row there are Saint Nicholas, Saint Peter, Saint Paul and Saint John the Evangelist. At the bottom of the icon there are images of Martyrs Zosima and Savvatiy. The writing in Old Russian Language has names of each saint. It is very intricate and good quality artwork. Size of the icon is 10.5 x 8.5''. If you need more details or pictures please contact us.
