This is a Vintage Rare Kasli Cast-Iron beautiful candle holder ''Aquarium'' with fish. This candle holder was cast out of Dutch soot iron using precision technique. It was made in the 1982 at the Kasli Architectural and Artistic Casting Plant located in Chelyabinsk Region in USSR. The candle holder was designed by Soviet artist Ignatieva. The candle holder has original stamp of Kasli plant (see picture). Size: 8Hx3.5''diameter; weight 1.36lb. Kasli cast-iron products were produced in Kasli (Southern Ural), from the mid-19th century. Kasli castings are characterized by skilled craftsmanship visible in exceptional clarity and smoothness of the metal surface. High-quality iron was smelted on a wood fire and cast in consistently fine sand. The candle holder is in excellent vintage condition.
