This nice small Russian lacquer box The Silver Hoof was created by great Russian artist Ivanov from Palekh in 2002. The box is hand painted and signed by the artist. On the top of the box you can see written in Russian language: subject of the painting, name of the art school and the signature of the artist (see detail). The box represents Russian famous writer Bazhov fairy tale ''The Silver Hoof'', based on the folklore of the Ural Region of Siberia. Size of the box is 2 x 2 x 1 inches. Great for the collection.
