This is a Vintage Rare Kasli Cast-Iron beautiful Oak Leaf trinket tray. This small tray was cast out of Dutch soot iron using precision technique. The original design of this Oak Leaf was created in the second half of XIX Century, designer is unknown. This tray was made in the 1970s at the Kasli Architectural and Artistic Casting Plant located in Chelyabinsk Region in USSR. The tray has original stamp of Kasli plant (see picture). Size: 7 x 3.25 x 1.75''; weight 8.7oz. Kasli cast-iron products were produced in Kasli (Southern Ural), from the mid-19th century. Kasli castings are characterized by skilled craftsmanship visible in exceptional clarity and smoothness of the metal surface. High-quality iron was smelted on a wood fire and cast in consistently fine sand. The item is in excellent vintage condition.
