This beautiful vintage icon of Our Lady of Healing is made in Sofrino Monastery near Moscow, Russia in 1991. It is contemporary icon created according to the ancient Russian Orthodox Church traditions. It is blessed by Russian Orthodox church and has a logo of Sofrino Monastery on the back of the icon. On the front of the icon there is a writing in ancient Russian language ''The Image of Our Lady of Healing''. The base of the icon is made out of plywood. The icon has information in Russian language on the back. Gold and silver foil. The icon comes in original Sofrino Monastery package with the Russian language writing on the top ''Mother of God save us''. Size of the icon is 3 x 2.5'' and package size 4 x 3''. The icon is in very good vintage condition but it has some imperfections. The pictures are the part of description. You will have the icon you see on the pictures. Ship from Texas in 2 business days. The icon of Our lady of Healing depicts the mother of God standing at the bed of the sick cleric. The original image may have depicted a similar scene with one or two sick men. The present Healer icon shows the sick cleric lying with his eyes closed and the Theotokos in a royal crown and staff coming to his rescue.
