This great quality Russian vintage lacquer box with landscape design was created by Russian artist Belova from Fedoskino art School, in 1950s USSR. Hand painted on Papier Mache, multi-layers lacquer finish. The box is signed by the Russian artist Belova. A lot of skill and detail in picturing the landscape gives this box its high value. The box has a very unusual barrel shape. The 1950s Fedoskino lacquer boxes in this condition are very rare and they are great for the serious collectors. Size of the box is 3 D x 2. 5 H inches. Russian lacquer boxes are well known all over the world. There are four villages located not far from Moscow, which create Russian lacquer miniatures.
