This Russian vintage unique collectible thimble was made in Rostov the Great (Russia). It is made out of solid white metal and completely hand painted with image of dog -Russian Borzoi. The process of making this type of Russian enamel work is very complicated. After each color the item must be fired in a special oven then cooled off and painted with the next color. This process is being repeated, as many times as there are colors on the piece. This Russian thimble is absolutely gorgeous and unique for collection, it has handmade beautiful filigree on the sides. Size: diameter 0.75'' and 1.25H''; painted part of Russian Borzoi is 1 x 0.75''. Excellent vintage condition (see pictures).
