Because the watch has balance, lever escapement through the pallet, you can wind the watch in both directions once a day. Single winding run down time not less then 35 hours. Case is made out of heavy stainless steel, diameter 2 inches; it is sand blasted to give it antique look. On front cover there is a profile of Marshal Zhukov and on the back it is written in Russian language Fifty years of World War Two ending. The watch was issued for 50th anniversary of the victory of WWII. The watch is coming with 12 inches original chain. It is very nice for use or collection. This Russian Pocket Watch was made at MOLNIYA plant in Chelyabinsk near Ural Mountains in Siberia, Russia in 1995. The Molnija Factory began its production on November 17, 1947 by the order of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. The first order for the watches was the USSR Ministry of Defense. In October 2007 the Molniya plant ceased production of consumer products. Therefore, these watches are already in history and are collectibles.                         |
