This beautiful vintage brooch is made out of papier-mache (papier-mache is strong light material which was used to make famous Russian lacquer boxes) in Russia in 1990s. It is hand painted and signed by talented Russian artist on the back (see pictures); it is nicely lacquered. The brooch shows Simba from Lion King. It is beautiful intricate artwork.
