This beautiful vintage brooch is made out of papier-mache (papier-mache is strong light material which was used to make famous Russian lacquer boxes) in Russia in 1990s. The brooch is created in traditional Russian style. It is hand painted and signed by talented Russian artist Cherepenina on the back (see pictures); it is nicely lacquered.
