This is World War One original 5.5 % bond (Serial I) issued by Russian Imperial Government in 1916. The bond is coming with 12 coupons (see picture). This Russian military bond has 1000 rubles nomination. It is VERY RARE 007000 NUMBER!!! The bonds are printed on a very good quality paper with watermarks; it is surprising that over 100 years old technology was able to do so good quality paper and print. Total amount of issued bonds is 2,000,000,000 rubles to help Russian Imperial Government with WWI expenses. Russian Government was obligated to buy back these bonds on February 1, 1926. Unfortunately the owners of these bonds lost their investments because of 1917 October Revolution. The Russian bonds are in good condition. Great for collection. The bond has stamped US Government notice that this bond does not have value (see picture).
